PROLOGIS LEASES MORE THAN 10,600 SQUARE METERS AT PROLOGIS PARK BUCHAREST A1 IN ROMANIA BUCHAREST, Romania

ProLogis (NYSE: PLD), the world’s largest owner, manager and developer of distribution facilities, announced today that it has leased more than 10,600 square meters of industrial space to two new customers at ProLogis Park Bucharest A1 in Romania.

Omega Transport and Logistics, a leading Greek provider of third-party logistics services, has leased 6,600 square meters in Building #1. Geodis Calberson Romania, a Romanian provider of third-party logistics services, has leased 4,000 square meters in Building #2.

Geodis is a global ProLogis customer, leasing more than 238,000 square meters from ProLogis worldwide. Both companies will use the space to provide high quality logistics services to Romanian clients, serving markets throughout the country. “We are very pleased with the strong customer interest we’ve had at our first logistics park in Romania,” said Michael de Jong-Douglas, Senior Vice President and Regional Director for Central & Eastern Europe at ProLogis. “Since the country’s entrance into the European Union, demand for modern distribution space – from both international companies as well as local businesses – has substantially grown.

The park, which currently comprises two facilities totalling 53,700 square meters, is now 70 percent leased. At full built-out the park will consist of twelve buildings totalling more than 317,100 square meters of distribution space. Current ProLogis customers at the park include: Kuehne+Nagel, cargo-partner and Augsburg International Impex.
