Prologis Announces Two BTS Projects Underway In CEE

Prologis, Inc, a leading global owner, operator and developer of industrial real estate, announced today that it is expanding two build-to-suit projects in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

The projects include:

 

·         17,980 square metresof additional space for an existing client at Prologis Park Galanta-Gan (DC4), located 60 kilometres from Bratislava close to the D1 (E58) highway.  After the expansion the DC4 facility will total 93,590 square metres of modern warehouse space and will be one of the largest distribution buildings in Slovakia.

 

·         6,800 square metresof additional space for a currently developed 22,350-square metre build-to-suit facility at Prologis Park Prague-Jirny, located 20 kilometres east of Prague, directly on the D11 motorway, for Globus, one of the largest hypermarket operators in the Czech Republic. Globus has decided to increase its facility to 29,150 square metres.  The customer plans to use the warehouse as its Czech hub for temperature controlled logistics. 

 

Construction of the build-to-suit facilities began in the second quarter and is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2011.
