Prologis Recognizes Students for Excellence in Logistics
Prologis, Inc., the leading owner, operator and developer of industrial real estate, together with the Poznań School of Logistics (WSL), has announced the winners of “Prologis for the Best” award in the categories Best Graduate and Best Master’s Thesis. The awards were presented on 5 October during the 2013/2014 academic year inauguration ceremony at the Poznań School of Logistics.
For the past eight years Prologis has organised the “Prologis for the Best” competition in cooperation with the Poznań School of Logistics, supporting the most ambitious students with a view to helping them start their careers as logistics experts. To date, 18 winners have been selected, each earning diplomas and scholarships worth PLN 4,000.
This year’s awards went to:
· Piotr Borysewicz for ‘Best Graduate of the Poznań School of Logistics’. Over four semesters of the postgraduate Master’s programme at the Business Administration Department, Piotr, majoring in logistics, obtained a high grade average of 4.85 and was actively involved in academic activities.
- Marcin Troczyński for ‘Best Master’s Thesis’. The paper, titled “Supporting traditional distance learning in primary school with the use of the Moodle platform” written under the supervision of Ryszard Świekatowski, PhD, was recognised for a well thought-over approach to the subject and for its substance.
The jury was made up of experts from the School of Logistics and Prologis.Marta Tęsiorowska, Prologis vice president, marketing & communications CEE, presented the awards.

“The involvement and initiative of global companies like Prologis can determine the quality of today’s education. The students are motivated to grow and, even more importantly, gain hands-on experience in dealing with the economic practice, which is a priority for WSL,” said Alicja Gruszczyńska, spokeswoman for the Poznań School of Logistics.
The Best Master’s Thesis category is open to those senior year students who were awarded, for their Master’s Thesis and for the defense thereof, a grade average of 4.5 or above. Compatibility of the thesis’ contents and its title, its substance, the use of proper language structures, reference materials and available publications are evaluated as well.
The Best Graduate of the Poznań School of Logistics “Prologis for the Best” competition, in turn, is open to students in full-time and extramural courses, both at BA and MA level. Students willing to participate in the contest need to submit their application and have a grade average of at least 4.53 for all semesters of a given educational program, i.e. six semesters in the case of BA and 4 semesters in the case of MA studies.
