Jones Lang LaSalle has been exclusively appointed to lease Infopark E

Budapest, April 20, 2011 – IVG Hungary has exclusively appointed the international real estate services provider Jones Lang LaSalle to lease Infopark E office building.

IVG Hungary is a branch of IVG Immobilien AG, one of the major real estate companies in Europe. The principal activities of the company are the management and development of office buidings. Since 1998 IVG has developed 11 grade ‘A’ office buildings and acquired 5 buildings (via its investment funds) with a total value of € 300 million. IVG Hungary Kft. is currently managing 15 commercial properties in Budapest, with a lettable area of nearly 120,000 m2.

Infopark is one of the most popular office parks in Budapest due to its unique campus architecture surrounded by a well-kept green park as well as the high technical standards of the office spaces. The last development of the park, Infopark E was completed in 2009. The building achieved 45% occupancy level before the completion and this was the first building in Hungary to win LEED Silver certification. The building received energy rating ‘A’, which means approximately 30% savings in energy consumption for the tenants. Infopark E can support the sustainability efforts of the environment-conscious tenants by adding about 130 tons less carbon dioxide to the environment at an annual level than any similar sized office building.

The building offers 17,000 m2 leasable space, a significant proportion of the offices has already been let to well-known international companies like Lufthansa Systems, Kraft Foods and the European Institute for Innovation and Technology (EIT). Currently 5,700 m2 office space is available which can fulfil tenant requirements from 300 m2 to 1,800 m2 on one level.

James Berry, Head of Office Leasing of Jones Lang LaSalle said: „We have seen an increasing number of tenant requirement for buildings that can offer green features. Today, the flexibility of office spaces alone cannot entirely satisfy all tenant requirements as environmentally consciuos solutions gain increasing interest.  Infopark E was designed to offer a wide variety of green solutions such as motion sensor lighting controls in the common areas, energy saving lighting units and using environmentally friendly construction materials.  Tenants of Infopark E can reach significant savings in energy costs and service charge.”
