Now it is still worth renegotiating lease agreements

It turns out from real estate analyses that a lot of companies have realized that it is worth utilizing favourable market conditions and searching for a new office, or – in case their present office meets their demands – renegotiating the current lease agreement under more favourable conditions.

UPM Kft.,  the Hungarian  representative  of the  Helsinki-based leading  paper manufacturer, has renewed its 400 sq m office lease in MOM Park Offices.

“We were satisfied with our office but wanted to look around in the market. With GVA Robertson’s assistance we surveyed  and compared the potential solutions.  Based on the results our present office  seemed to be the best choice, so we renegotiated our lease agreement here.  Thanks to GVA Robertson’s  expertise  and experience  and the lessor’s flexible attitude we managed to make an agreement under the most favourable conditions.”  comments Éva Surányi, General Manager  of UPM.

“The three most important arguments for tenant representation  from  client’s side are professional experience, saving in costs and  time,  which can be achieved with the consultant’s assistance  for those who plan to make decisions concerning  real eastate search and strategy.     Based on their thorough market knowledge  tenant representation consultants find the the most favourable conditions for their clients which are still acceptable for the landlords as well. The same thing happened in this case:  as a result of the succesful negotiation  UPM   achieved  competitive conditions and the landlord of MOM Park,  AEW Europe, retained a renowned tenant.”   adds Róbert Papp,  head of office department at GVA Robertson.
