C&W secured special cross-docking industrial space for Austrian Post

Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) global real estate consultants representing the landlord BILK Logistics Plc. have successfully concluded a Built-to-Suit lease disposal with trans-o-flex Hungary Ltd., a b2b dispatcher service department of the Austrian Post, for 3,720 sq m warehouse and additional 920 sq m of office space in BILK Logistics Center in Budapest (XXIII).

The Austrian based logistics company will use the building as cross-docking and distribution centre for Hungary. The new Built-to-Suit development is needed within the logistics complex since trans-o-flex requires special facilities such as increased number of docking gates, lower headroom and some additional features speeding up working process. The scheme will be handed over in November 2011 and trans-o-flex will be moving in to the premises. Emília Tarró Associate, Head of Industrial department at Cushman & Wakefield Budapest commented: “Being able to secure such a special industrial space for trans-o-flex lets us believe that the Hungarian industrial market is responding prominently well to tenant needs, which although does not appear in decreasing vacancy rate, projects an increased occupier demand and bigger trust in market stability.”

Miklós Marján Chief Executive Officer at BILK added: “We are delighted to welcome a new international tenant in BILK Logistics Center. This deal proves us, that the park is a perfect location for tenants who are eager to occupy quality industrial space with good accessibility and infrastructure. With this new Built-to suit development we have proven our flexibility and our professional attitude towards tenants.” Péter Pesztericz Managing Director at trans-o-flex Hungary Ltd. added: “When deciding on the scheme, the geographic location, the technical facilities of the park and the possibility to have a building especially developed for our special needs were the most important factors.  Besides this, the further expanding opportunity was also an important criterion at the decision making.”
